If the Sherpa mountaineering school is established in Khumbu, the local Sherpas do not need to go far away for the training so that the proper man power for the trekking and mountaineering can be produced within Khumbu in a much cheaper and affordable manner. This school would be really fair to the biggest number of climbers and their future generations. The Sherpas also get some job of giving a training as most of the climbing instructors are Sherpas in Nepal. Establishing such mountaineering schools in Khumbu area like Gumela can also produce the possibilities of job opportunities to the Sherpas and other locals in Khumbu, Nepal.
This would be an innovative and great idea which no one has started so far yet. Such initiations will give a real big mileage to Everest Sherpa Foundation. It would be a completely new idea in Khumbu and many of the new comers who are in climbing can benefit from this idea. The government of Nepal is going to start a mountaineering university, which is going to begin in the distance of 80 km south of Lukla. All the students from this university can also go to Sherpa Mountaineering School in Gumela and take the practical classes there. For further development plans, discussions with the Tourism Ministry is being processed at the moment.
